Financial Considerations

PRIVATE DUTY & PERSONAL CARE

You may be surprised to learn that Medicare does not cover non-medical in-home care nor assisted living. Personal care of this nature is most often paid for out-of-pocket, but it is often covered through long-term care insurance or the Veterans Administration, for those who have it.  In cases of financial hardship, your state’s Medicaid program may be an option.
